It is known for its mix of residential and commercial areas, offering infrastructure that meets the needs of its residents, with schools, hospitals, diverse retail options, and good public transportation.

The neighborhood blends modernity with history, featuring architecture that ranges from traditional houses to contemporary buildings. Its strategic location makes it a key connection point between neighboring districts such as Icaraí, Vital Brazil, and Fonseca.

Santa Rosa also stands out for its green areas, including proximity to the Fonseca Forest Park (Horto Florestal do Fonseca), which provides outdoor leisure opportunities. The quality of life is one of the main reasons families and students are drawn to the area, many of whom choose the neighborhood for its renowned schools—such as the Salesian School itself.
